March 12, 2025 – Leading IC design company MediaTek has released its February 2025 financial results, reporting a monthly revenue of NT$46.17 billion. This marks a 9.72% decrease from January but represents a significant 19.98% increase compared to February 2024, setting a new record for the highest February revenue in company history.

For the first two months of 2025, MediaTek’s total revenue reached NT$97.32 billion, a 17.28% increase year-over-year.

Strong Growth Amid Market Demand

During its most recent earnings call, MediaTek projected Q1 2025 revenue to be between NT$140.8 billion and NT$151.8 billion, with an estimated gross margin of 47% ±1.5% and an operating expense ratio of 29% ±2%.

The company attributed this revenue growth primarily to China's smartphone subsidy policies and reduced trade uncertainty, which have boosted demand for TVs, Wi-Fi modules, tablets, and Chromebooks.

Mobile Chip Revenue Adjustments

MediaTek noted that smartphone chip revenue is expected to decline slightly in Q1 2025 compared to Q4 2024. This is due to a strong replenishment cycle in late 2024, which temporarily inflated demand. However, this dip is expected to be offset by growth in TV, tablet, and broadband-related segments.

Despite seasonal fluctuations in consumer electronics, MediaTek expects overall smart device platform revenue to remain stable compared to Q4 2024.

2024 Full-Year Performance

In 2024, MediaTek achieved a total annual revenue of NT$530.58 billion, reflecting a 22.4% year-over-year growth. The company's net income after tax reached NT$107.14 billion, a 38.8% increase compared to 2023.

MediaTek also reported an earnings per share (EPS) of NT$66.92, surpassing the NT$48.51 recorded in 2023. The company’s annual net profit exceeded 6.5 times its share capital, averaging nearly NT$3 billion in daily earnings.

Looking Ahead

With ongoing demand in smart device platforms and strategic positioning in 5G, AI, and automotive technologies, MediaTek is well-positioned for continued growth in 2025. The company remains optimistic about sustaining strong performance across its mobile, consumer electronics, and AI-driven semiconductor segments.
