Los controladores conmutados DC a DC de PMIC (Power Management Integrated Circuit, circuito integrado de gestión de potencia) son circuitos integrados de regulación de voltaje utilizados en circuitos de alta eficiencia configurados para generar tensiones de salida por encima (boost o step-up) o por debajo (buck o step-down) de la fuente de entrada. Otras topologías pueden incluir: buck-boost, flyback, forward, cuk, SEPIC, puente completo, medio puente y push-pull. Se diferencian de los reguladores lineales, que requieren voltajes mínimos y "disipan" el exceso de voltaje.
