Los circuitos integrados RFID o de acceso RF son dispositivos semiconductores configurados como lectores RFID, transpondedores, procesadores para entrada pasiva o arranque pasivo y sistemas TPMS (Sistema de Monitoreo de Presión de Neumáticos). Están diseñados para cumplir con estándares RFID específicos como EPC, ISO, NFC, MIFARE y FeliCa, y se comunican mediante I2C, SPI, UART, USB, PWM, RS232, RS422, RS485 y otras interfaces.
