The TI AM623 IoT SoC is part of the AM62x Sitara™ MPU family, specifically engineered for Linux® applications. This processor offers scalable Arm Cortex-A53 performance with embedded features such as dual-display support and 3D graphics acceleration. With its rich array of peripherals, the AM62x is ideally suited for a broad spectrum of industrial and automotive applications, providing intelligent functionality paired with an optimized power architecture.

The AM62x Sitara processor comes in a 13 mm x 13 mm industrial-grade package (ALW) and also meets automotive AEC-Q100 standards with a 17.2 mm x 17.2 mm package option (AMC). The integration of the Cortex-M4F core and dedicated peripherals enables the AM62x to meet stringent industrial and automotive safety requirements, isolating critical safety functions from the rest of the processor.

The processor features a triple-port gigabit Ethernet switch with one internal and two external ports, supporting time-sensitive networking (TSN). Additionally, the integrated PRU module offers real-time I/O capabilities for unique use cases. The AM62x boasts an extensive array of peripherals for system-level connectivity, including USB, MMC/SD, camera interface, OSPI, CAN-FD, and GPMC for parallel host interfacing with external ASICs or FPGAs. Enhanced security is available with the hardware security module (HSM), supporting secure boot for IP protection, along with advanced power management for portable and power-sensitive applications.
