GF’s Ongoing Investments in Semiconductor Innovation

GlobalFoundries recently announced a $575 million investment to build an advanced packaging and testing facility at its Malta, New York fab.

The facility will support silicon photonics and other critical semiconductor markets.

An additional $186 million will be allocated for R&D over the next decade.

The investment is expected to create 100 new jobs within five years.

GF’s CTO Gregg Bartlett emphasized that the partnership with MIT highlights GF’s commitment to innovation and talent development in the semiconductor industry.
