On November 15th, according to the official WeChat account of Basic Semiconductor, the company successfully completed its shareholding restructuring and business registration change procedures, formally changing its name to "Shenzhen Basic Semiconductor Co., Ltd."
From November 15th onward, all business operations of Basic Semiconductor will be conducted under the new name "Shenzhen Basic Semiconductor Co., Ltd." The company's registered address has been updated to the Bronze Sword Technology Group Headquarters Building, located at: 6 Guangke 1st Road, Laokeng Community, Longtian Street, Pingshan District, Shenzhen, Building 1, Room 801 of Bronze Sword Technology Tower. Despite the restructuring, the main business entity and legal relationships remain unchanged. Previously signed contracts remain valid, and existing business relationships and service commitments are retained.
According to the company's official website, Basic Semiconductor specializes in the research and commercialization of silicon carbide (SiC) power devices. Headquartered in Shenzhen, the company also has R&D centers and manufacturing facilities in Beijing, Shanghai, Wuxi, Hong Kong, and Nagoya, Japan.
Basic Semiconductor's research and development cover critical areas of the SiC power semiconductor industry chain, including material preparation, chip design, wafer manufacturing, packaging and testing, and driver applications. Its core products include SiC diodes and MOSFET chips, automotive and industrial-grade SiC power modules, and power device driver chips, serving hundreds of global clients in electric vehicles, renewable energy storage, rail transit, industrial control, smart grids, and other sectors.
In terms of business progress, on August 29th, at the PCIM Asia 2024 International Exhibition on Power Components and Renewable Energy Management held in Shenzhen, Basic Semiconductor signed a strategic memorandum of understanding with Heraeus Electronics to jointly promote technological innovation and value enhancement in the power semiconductor industry.
On September 26th, the AION RT by GAC Aion officially began global pre-sales, equipped with Basic Semiconductor's 750V full SiC power module.
