Products in the coaxial connector family are interconnect devices used with cable materials consisting of a central conductor surrounded by insulation material and an outer conductor of circular cross section, designed to maintain a consistent characteristic impedance over the length of the material in order to serve as a suitable transmission line for high frequency signals.
