I/O relay modules are used in industrial control, building management, and similar applications to connect control equipment to input sources such as limit switches or proximity sensors, as well as output devices such as motors or linear actuators. Typically implemented in form factors that allow ease of replacement, their primary purpose is to allow system components operating at different voltage levels and supplied by different sources to be safely connected to a shared control system.
